The quarterly GLPA Newsletter is published by the Great Lakes Planetarium Association to provide timely and newsworthy items about the planetarium profession, education, personnel, and supporting fields. Journal quality articles should be directed to International Planetarium Society (The Planetarian) or presented at a GLPA Conference, and therefore published in the Conference Proceedings.

The GLPA Newsletter generally includes a President's Message, an Editor's Message, a State News section, a Bulletin Board section (containing short news items), original articles from contributing members, conference and state meeting information, activities of the GLPA Executive Committee, and other information related to GLPA, IPS, and the planetarium profession. The GLPA Newsletter is mailed prior to the equinoxes and solstices to every member in good standing. With few exceptions, the GLPA Newsletter has been published four times a year since 1966.
