State Organizations

GLPA’s State Organizations offer a great opportunity to connect with local planetarians. Each year, these organizations host a meeting or mini-conference, which anyone can attend, regardless of whether they’re a GLPA member. If you have any questions about these state organizations or meetings, don’t hesitate to reach out to the appropriate State Chair listed below. And if you have any news about your facility that you’d like to share in the GLPA Newsletter, send it to your State Chair by the end of January, April, July, or October.

During the GLPA conference in odd-numbered years, elections are held to determine the State Chairpersons. If you’re interested in being on the ballot, simply let the President-Elect know and attend the state meeting at the conference. As long as you identify with the state organization, are willing to serve, and can attend the fall conference, you’re eligible to be a candidate.
