GLPA Newsletter

Since 1966, the GLPA Newsletter has been the pulse of our planetarium community. Published quarterly and delivered around the solstices and equinoxes, each issue is a gathering place for the ideas, stories, and conversations that help our members grow, connect, and do their best work under the dome.

Each issue of the newsletter includes a variety of content:

  • Articles related to career or career-adjacent growth
  • Descriptions of how planetariums function or engage audiences
  • Relevant institutional news
  • Information about our annual conference and state meetings
  • Advertisements from industry partners

New Section – Dome to Dome
We invites members to share upcoming initiatives, recent wins, and anything else worth celebrating or collaborating on.

New Section – Quarterly Question
Exactly what it sounds like — one question per issue for members to weigh in on. It may be lighthearted, it may be substantive, or a little of both. Our Quarterly Question for the Fall 2026 issue is:

Do you allow late seating & how do you actually facilitate it?

Any members can participate in these sections, not just institutional representatives. Simply send your contributions to your State Chair!

The search feature below is quite powerful!  Search on article names, authors, image credits, even advertisers.
